During the lockdown, Shakti NGO ensured strict adherence to government guidelines on mask usage, promoting their supply, hand-making, and use of available cloth to cover faces, resulting in universal adoption among males, females, and children for COVID-19 safety. Additionally, they emphasized maintaining social distance across various settings including families, communities, markets, agriculture, and workplaces, through comprehensive outreach and implementation efforts.

Miss Rekha Bathalia's shop management and marketing skills flourished post-OPELIP intervention, garnering widespread recognition in project areas. Despite lockdown challenges, her Tailoring Unit provided essential services to communities, experiencing a notable income increase. The SAHAJOGA Tailoring Unit, supported by Shakti Ngo stood as a beacon of community support, emphasizing the transformative impact of technical assistance on livelihoods.

As part of a small PVTG tribal family, living in a modest hut, daily wages constitute their primary income source, with limited access to external support. In 2019-20, Mrs. Jayanti was selected for tailoring IGA through VDC members despite having limited tailoring management skills. However, with no alternative livelihood options available, the family struggles to sustain themselves, highlighting the importance of support from organizations like Shakti NGO.

Promotion of Sustainable Livelihoods: Mr. Ananta Sikaka has been chosen to spearhead the Cycle Mart initiative, facilitated by Shakti Organization in Rayagada through VDC support. The provision of Cycle Mart materials tailored to members' needs has resulted in their satisfaction, enabling daily income generation to meet their families' needs. This initiative underscores the essence of sustainable economic development.

Mr. Venketaswara Kanta CRP and the FNGO team, in collaboration with Shakti Organization, have shown keen interest in promoting sustainable livelihood programs. With support from Shakti NGO, they seized the opportunity through AWBP-2020-21 to promote Agriculture programs, focusing on the cultivation of G-9 Variety banana clusters at the VDC level. VDC members enlisted farmers for AWBP, providing them with Tissue Culture G-9 Variety banana saplings and Bio-fertilizers through Hatipadar Gramya Unyana Sangha. Shakti NGO has provided technical assistance to farmers, including guidance on planting methods, plant measurements, and technical practices, enhancing their sustainable livelihoods

Promotion of Sustainable Livelihoods: Mr. Anup Prakash Rao, selected for Grocery Shop IGA, supported by DKDA Chatikana under Shakti Organisation,Rayagada, has thrived with daily incomes ranging from Rs 800-1000. Additionally, he initiated a Fast Food Centre, yielding Rs 400-600 per day. With further investments in a Cold Drinks ,fast food items he fixed Sukanaya Yojana for his daughters, he ensures a dignified family life, epitomizing sustainable livelihood development.

To promote sustainable livelihoods, Mr. Jagabandhu Tatadi has been chosen to establish a Grocery Shop with the support of local CRP Mr. Rajendra Behera and Shakti NGO, aided by VDC, provided essential grocery items, enabling him and his family to sustain daily income for their livelihood, fostering sustainable economic development.

With a focus on promoting sustainable livelihoods, Mr. Baishnaba Bidrika, along with FNGO team members, has spearheaded the establishment of a Khali Press Unit in our project area, addressing the demand and necessity. This initiative, selected under the AWBP, marks a significant opportunity for Shakti NGO to contribute to sustainable economic development.

Tapaharu SHG, driven by the initiative of its members, has been selected for income generation activities focused on the promotion of sustainable Rice Milling Unit. As a result, the VDC has provided essential support, including the provision of a rice mill and necessary equipment, enabling smooth operations for enhanced livelihoods within the community. This strategic effort aligns with Shakti NGO's overarching goal of empowering tribal communities, fostering food security, and uplifting the quality of life for the most marginalized individuals.

The collective efforts of Shakti NGO, Agriculture professionals, local CRP, and VDC members have led to significant improvements in the livelihoods of 70 farmers through sunflower cultivation. With dedicated technical support and cluster-based initiatives, each farmer now earns between 12,000 to 15,000 from just 0.25 acres of land, marking a transformative change in their economic well-being and establishing a new identity within their communities.

Mr. Goura Kultia's success in watermelon cultivation, yielding 2-3 tons and earning approximately 45,000 Rs., showcases the transformative impact of Shakti NGO's intervention in agricultural practices. Despite challenges like fluctuating market prices during lockdowns, his resilience and innovative approach have set a precedent, empowering other farmers in Muniguda Block to explore new avenues for sustainable livelihoods. Through Shakti NGO's technical support, Mr. Kultia has not only enhanced his own skills but also become a beacon of inspiration, fostering community-wide agricultural advancements and resilience.

The procurement of hill broom in Kulusing village, facilitated by Abada Grammya Unnayan Sangha and Shakti NGO, has catalyzed a transformative opportunity for the Lanjia Soura community, elevating their income prospects and instilling a newfound sense of confidence. Through strategic interventions, including sensitization sessions and gender-sensitive support, Shakti NGO has empowered community members to recognize and capitalize on the income potential of hill broom, fostering long-term economic growth and prosperity for the community.
