SHAKTI’s many years of experience in the field of livelihood generation programmes has demonstrated that the sustainable uptake of new income generating activities is most successful when participants have made an informed livelihood choice. This should be based on a clear understanding of what is involved in the activity gained by having the opportunity to develop the required skills and build confidence in their abilities through practice.

Therefore SHAKTI has thoroughly researched and planned its Livelihoods Resource Centre as a valuable tool for the people of the region to be taught with hands on experience, the theory, practical and business elements of numerous livelihood activities in one, easy to access location.
