Shakti Organisation, Rayagada, with the support of Live Love Laugh Foundation (LLLF), Bangalore and HDFC Bank, organised an Awareness and Sensitation Meeting on Community Mental Health at Dangasi PHC, Kapipur Block and Khumbhikota PHC, Rayagada Block on 28 May 2026. The programme was attended by 100 health workers and government officials, including the Medical Officer, CHOs, ASAs & Awws.

The meeting focused on mental health awareness, early identification and referral of Persons with Mental Illness (PVMs), treatment adherence, and the role of health workers in strengthening community mental health services. Participants actively shared their experiences and discussed ways to improve mental health support at the community level. The programme helped enhance awareness, strengthen coordination among stakeholders, and promote collective efforts towards improving mental health care services in the district.
