What we’re doing
Shakti Organisation supports marginal tribal families in the tribal-dominated Rayagada Block to grow vegetables for home consumption and small-scale sale. We provided seeds and seedlings to farmers with guidance; 

For many tribal farmers, the difference between profit and loss is knowing the correct weight of their produce. Many still depend on guesswork and middlemen because they don't own a weighing scale.

A simple weighing scale empowers farmers to measure accurately, negotiate confidently, and earn a fair income.

Why this matters
Right now, almost all farmers lack accurate scales and must rely on middlemen or guesswork. A reliable scale helps farmers:

·   Get fair prices by accurately measuring produce.

·   Negotiate confidently at markets.

·   Keep simple yield records to plan planting and track progress.

·   Reduce post-harvest losses and improve household incomes.

What we’re asking
Donate one weighing scale (INR 2,000) to one farmer or support number of farmers as you can or support all 50 farmers (INR 1,00,000). Each scale will be:

·     Portable and battery-operated for market use,

·     Supplied with a short training on use and care,

·     Distributed with a beneficiary receipt and photo record.

How your gift is used

·    INR 2,000 buys one quality scale, packaging, and a brief training session.

·    We purchase scales centrally to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

·    We cover transparent distribution, documentation, and follow-up support.

Transparency & recognition

·  Donors receive a distribution report with photos and beneficiary details within 45 days.
